But Some students have the question in their mind, that Can they get admission in M.Tech in IITs without GATE score or Low GATE score? The answer is Yes, you can take admission in IITs without GATE Exam or with low score. In this article we will explain that how could an aspirant with low GATE score or without GATE score can get admission in IITs .

Let us firstly see, who can get admission in IITs without or low GATE score. In general, GATE is important for getting admission in IITs, without gate exam you have to be either industry sponsored candidate or you have to sponsor yourself.

To be considered for admission to an IIT, a student must have a GATE rank of 200 or lower.

There are some students who are either industry sponsored or self sponsored. We will the short difference between them .

1.These students should have first class B.Tech with an minimum experience of 2 years in any public industry or any government research lab. These students should have first class B.Tech and will be selected based on the written test and/or an interview.
2.They will be selected based on an written test or an interview. They will pay a tution fee of Rs. 20,000 per credit or 48 credit in 24 months.
3.They will pay an tuition fee of Rs. 30,000 per month. The admission fee of Rs. 1 lakh will be absorbed in the tuition fee.
4.They will not receive any scholarship as they are already provided with the salary from the industry. So they will not get scholarship. They will not receive any scholarship.
5. The candidates who have a working experience of more than 3 years.

IITs which offered admission in M.Tech without GATE

There are 4 IITs which offer admission in M.Tech without GATE. They are:-

i) IIT MADRAS

ii) IIT Gandhinagar

iii) IIT Hyderabad

iv) IIT Goa

From these IITs , only IIT Gandhinagar starts their admission procedure early. Many self-sponsored students gets admission here. In the March ending, the procedure of admission generally starts for industry sponsored and self-sponsored students.

All we can say is that, only industry sponsored students can get admission in IITs without GATE Score , the other option is getting admission by self sponsoring which can cost upto minimum amount of 10 to 12 lakh for doing M.Tech in IITs.

It is commonly believed that a low GATE score is the end of the world for undergraduate engineers.

However, this is far from the truth. A low GATE score is not the end of the road. With focus and belief in oneself, there are still many paths that can lead to the final destination, an IIT. Yes, you read that right. There are still plenty of options available to students who were not able to crack their GATE exam in IITs, NITs and BITs.

Remember that getting admission in IITs is not a real battle , you can get admission but you cannot survive in IITs. So start preparation for GATE Exam and work hard, because hard work has no other option.
