Engineer Trainee in (Civil/ Mechanical/ IT Electrical/ Chemical/ Metallurgy)Full-Time Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering /Technology or Five-year integrated Master’s degree or Dual Degree program in Engineering or Technology in the disciplines of Civil or Mechanical or IT or Electrical or Chemical or Metallurgy Engineering from a recognized Indian University/ Institute*i) 27 Years (Candidates born before 01/09/1995 are not eligible to apply) 

ii) 29 years for candidates having two years’ full-time of Post-Graduation in Engineering or Business Administration/ Management

Selection Process

i) Candidates interested in joining BHEL as Engineer/Executive Trainee will have to appear for a Computer Based Examination. Based on the examination marks and requirements, candidates will be shortlisted for Interviews in order of merit in the ratio of 1:5 to the number of vacancies in each discipline and category.

The physically challenged candidates will receive up to 25% relaxation below the cut-off marks in their respective categories for being shortlisted for the interview round. 

ii) The final merit list shall be prepared based on the 75% weightage for Computer Based Examination Score and 25% weightage for the interview score.

BHEL Recruitment through GATE 2023

Whenever the BHEL company recruits for any engineering post and makes a GATE Score Card mandatory for that, you must have a valid GATE Score Card to apply for that type of job.

BHEL recruits the candidates through GATE 2023. Based on the GATE score, the candidates are hired. For various technical and non-technical position BHEL recruits candidates.

Every year, BHEL Company recruits’ various types of engineer posts on the basis of the GATE Scorecard. The minimum and maximum GATE cut-off scores may differ from branches.

This is because there is a difference in the vacancies for the particular posts that have come out. Many experts believe that a GATE score of 750 out of 1000 can be good for mechanical engineering jobs, while 920 out of 1000 can be good for electrical engineering.

On the other hand, a GATE score of 940 out of 1000 can be good in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
